Can oil paints be mixed with acrylic or watercolor in the same artwork?

It is not recommended to mix oil paints directly with watercolor or acrylic because they dry and bind differently. However, you can paint first with acrylic and let it dry before applying oil paints on top. Föndurlist provides advice on color combinations.
