Using fragrance oils
Fragrance oils turn a plain candle or bar of soap into something special. At Föndurlist you will find fragrances suited to candle and soap making — choose a scent you love and add it at the right stage for the best result.
For candles
Add fragrance oil to melted wax at the temperature recommended for your wax, usually just before pouring. Follow the suggested fragrance load (typically a small percentage of the wax weight) so the scent throws well without affecting the burn.
For soap
Use fragrance oils that are skin-safe and suited to soap making. Add them at trace in cold-process soap or just before pouring in melt-and-pour, and follow usage rates so the scent is pleasant and safe on skin.
Storage
Keep fragrance oils tightly closed, away from heat and direct sunlight, to preserve their strength. Well-stored oils keep their scent for a long time so you can use them across several projects.
