Choosing the right surface
The painting surface matters as much as the paint. At Föndurlist you will find canvas, paper and boards suited to acrylics, oils, watercolours and mixed media.
Stretched canvas
Pre-stretched canvas on wooden frames is the classic painting surface. Available in standard sizes from small studies to large gallery-format canvases. Most come pre-primed and ready to paint.
Canvas panels and boards
Canvas panels are canvas bonded to a rigid board — lightweight, easy to store and great for studies, plein air painting and practice work. Painting boards suit fine detail work.
