Sterin

Sterín, eða sterínsýra, er fitusýra sem er mikið notuð í sápu- og kertagerð. Hún er oftast unnin úr dýrafitu eða jurtaolíum.

Í kertagerð er sterín notað til að:

• Auka hörku: Gerir kertið stífara og minna líklegt til að beygjast eða brotna.
• Lengja brennslutíma: Kerti brenna hægar og jafnar.
• Bæta lit og áferð: Gefur kertum sléttari áferð og getur aukið litadýpt.
• Draga úr dropi: Minnkar líkur á að kertið leki vaxi.

Í sápugerð er sterín notað til að:

• Auka hörku sápu: Gerir sápuna endingarbetri.
• Bæta froðumyndun: Stuðlar að ríkulegri og stöðugri froðu.
• Gefa sápu kremkennda áferð: Gerir sápuna mýkri viðkomu.

Sterin - How to use Stearic Acid in Candle Making

Sterin wax plays an indispensable part in your candlemaking routine. It makes all the difference between disappointing, or successful, candles. Why use Sterin in Candles?

Using stearin in candles vastly improves their looks and burning qualities. These are some of the benefits of this additive:
