Where to Buy Art Supplies in Iceland — A Guide for Foreigners

If you have recently moved to Iceland, finding quality art and craft supplies might feel like a challenge. Good news: you do not need to import from abroad or rely on Amazon deliveries that take weeks and cost a fortune in customs.

Föndurlist — One of Iceland's Largest Art Supply Stores

Föndurlist carries over 2,800 products from 50+ international brands — the same ones you know from back home. Whether you are looking for watercolors, acrylic paint, brushes, canvases, resin supplies, polymer clay, or jewelry-making materials, it is all available right here in Iceland.

The full catalog is online at fondurlist.is/en with English descriptions, and the search bar works in English.

How Delivery Works

All orders ship via Dropp — Iceland's parcel network with 500+ pickup points at petrol stations, shops, and automated lockers across the country. Delivery takes 2–3 business days.

  • Dropp pickup: 850 kr — free on orders over 15.000 kr
  • Home delivery: 1.050 kr flat rate
  • Warehouse pickup: Free — Einhella 11, Hafnarfjörður, Fridays 4–7 PM

For a full breakdown, see our How Ordering Works page.

What If You Cannot Find Something?

Föndurlist offers special orders (sérpantanir). If a product is available from our European or American suppliers, we can order it for you — delivery usually takes 2–4 weeks. Browse the special order catalog.
